Domain Reseller Account
All of our resellers now have the opportunity to become a registrar! You can register domain names on behalf of your customers, totally whitelabel. A whois lookup will show you as the domain name provider.
We have partnered with OpenSRS, a leading wholesaler of domain names, to offer this excellent opportunity. You will be able to sell:
- Domain Names (com, net, org, biz, co.uk, co and more!)
- SSL Certificates
- GoMobi
What's more, you can tie the OpenSRS domain reseller system into Blesta, which we provide for free with our reseller hosting.
This means that your customers will be able to order domain names through your website, just like you order domains through Hostroute!
Domain Pricing
You are free to charge your customers whatever you like for domains you sell them.
On our domain name reseller account, we offer a sliding scale of pricing - decreasing to very, very low cost domains!

How do I sign up?
You can sign up through My.Hostroute. If you get stuck, we've created a video to show you how you can sign up.
How do I pay for the domains?
OpenSRS is a top up service. You pay in advance for 'credits', which are then used to register domain names. So for example you could put $100 of credit on the account, which would then be used to register your first handful of domain names.
Is there a minimum contract
There is no minimum contract. You do not even have to use the service - feel free to just sign up and then never log in!
Why is Hostroute offering this? Where do we make our money
We are very open about where we make our money. As OpenSRS partners we benefit from a very low price on domain names, and these sub-reseller accounts and we have added our own margin onto the domains we are selling here.
However, domains have always been, and almost certainly always will be, an addon to our hosting. We make money from excellent shared and reseller hosting services, and anything we can do to make our reseller hosting service better is great from our perspective.
